Diversity and inclusion

We believe that a diverse team with different experiences and backgrounds makes Hufvudstaden a stronger company. For us, equality is a given, and we believe that an inclusive society benefits everyone. We stand for democracy, respect, and human rights.

Diversity for an innovative workplace

Hufvudstaden’s goal is to build an organization of employees with diverse experiences and backgrounds. We believe that diversity among our people brings new perspectives, knowledge, and greater innovative capacity. We are also convinced that different qualities and viewpoints create increased business and customer value.

For us, it is important to find employees with the right skills regardless of age, functional variations, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnic background. Our aim is for every employee to feel at home at Hufvudstaden and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Focus on equality and inclusion

For us, it is a given that men and women should have the same opportunities, and we strive to be an equal organization. We actively work to ensure that our decisions are not influenced by unconscious bias.

We have an equality and diversity policy that helps us create a workplace where differences are encouraged. Our work environment policy emphasizes the importance of preventing discrimination and offensive treatment. To support this, we have an action plan that promotes an equal workplace, fosters understanding of differences, and counters discrimination and harassment. An equal treatment plan has been established with goals related to work environment, parenthood, harassment, recruitment, promotion, skills development, and equal pay.

At Hufvudstaden, we want everyone to feel included, safe, and free to be themselves.

Salary mapping is carried out annually. Our equality goal is to achieve a balanced gender distribution with at least a 40/60 ratio between women and men.
