History

Hufvudstaden was founded in 1915 and over the years it has retained its core operations – managing and developing properties.

In recent times, Hufvudstaden has concentrated its property holdings, which means that we now only own commercial properties in central Stockholm and central Gothenburg.

1998-2015

In spring 1998, a new stakeholder bought into Hufvudstaden – Lundbergs. In June, the pluralvote shares held by the investment company Öresund were also acquired. Lundbergs thus had a majority shareholding in Hufvudstaden and stepped into Custos’s old role as the clear majority shareholder.
