Networks and parnerships

Hufvudstaden collaborates with a variety of partners to promote sustainable development. These are some of the networks and partnerships we take part in.

Byggvarubedömningen

We play an active role and are represented on the board of Byggvarubedömningen, the Swedish real estate industry’s joint tool for the environmental assessment of construction products. Hufvudstaden strives to use only environmentally reviewed and approved materials in our projects. REDI

Hufvudstaden is one of twelve major property companies participating in REDI – the Real Estate Digitalisation Initiative. This joint effort aims to prepare Sweden’s buildings for tomorrow’s connected cities. Together, we drive the digital transformation of the industry and foster greater understanding and clarity around real estate digitalisation.

BELOK – Beställargruppen Lokaler

Hufvudstaden is a participant in BELOK– a collaboration between the Swedish Energy Agency and 31 of Sweden’s largest commercial property owners. Its mission is to drive innovation and reduce energy consumption in commercial buildings.

FIHL - Fastighetsbranschens initiativ för hållbara leverantörsled

Together with other major commercial property owners in the Stockholm region, Hufvudstaden has developed FIHL – the property industry’s initiative for a more sustainable supply chain. The aim is to strengthen the sector’s shared focus on sustainability by creating a harmonised process and unified approach to monitoring suppliers’ sustainability performance. Circular collaborations in Stockholm and Gothenburg

Hufvudstaden is part of Handslaget in Gothenburg – a network of over 50 private and public property owners. The goal is to increase reuse and other circular solutions in new and renovated buildings.

We are also part of a similar initiative in Stockholm – Klimatarena Stockholm – where companies, municipalities, and academia work together to improve resource efficiency and reduce climate impact in the Stockholm region.

Fastighetsägarnas hållbarhetsråd - Sustainability Council at Fastighetsägarna

We play an active role in Fastighetsägarnas hållbarhetsråd (the Sustainability Council at Fastighetsägarna). The council includes sustainability managers from Sweden’s largest real estate companies and serves as a strategic forum for knowledge-sharing, joint development, and policy work on the sector’s most important sustainability issues.

Sweden Green Building Council

Hufvudstaden is an active member of the Sweden Green Building Council, an association that works to influence and develop environmental and sustainability practices in the construction and property sectors.
