Hufvudstaden makes changes to its Group management

Frida Wijkstrom och Karl Palm

In conjunction with Anders Nygren taking office as President of Hufvudstaden on 1 January 2022, new managers are being appointed for the Stockholm business area and for Business development. The new managers will be part of Hufvudstaden’s Group management.

The new Head of the Stockholm Business Area will be Frida Wijkström. Frida holds an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering and has worked for Hufvudstaden for two periods of time since 2008. Her previous positions include Head of Property Management for Stockholm West and Parkaden and most recently, Head of Hufvudstaden’s Cecil Coworking.

The new Head of Business Development will be Karl Palm, who was most recently Hufvudstaden’s Head of Projects in Stockholm. Karl holds a B.Sc. in Engineering and has been employed since 2014. He succeeds Mattias Nygårds, who became Business Developer at Hufvudstaden on 1 December 2021.

“I am very happy that we have managed to internally recruit two very competent and experienced individuals for important managerial positions in the company. I have worked closely with Frida and Karl for many years and witnessed the drive and commitment that both of them possess. These are invaluable qualities that will be a major asset for their new managerial roles and in working together with the rest of us in Group management,” says Anders Nygren, incoming President of Hufvudstaden.

At the end of December 2021, Ivo Stopner is stepping down to enter retirement after having worked for more than 30 years in the company, the final 22 of which as President.

“It has been immensely stimulating and rewarding experience to have had the honour of leading this first-rate company. I feel very secure in handing over the reins to Anders Nygren who, together with the other members of Group management and all of the company’s competent and committed employees, will drive Hufvudstaden further into the future,” says Ivo Stopner, President.
