Our greatest climate impact is primarily linked to the use of materials in our construction projects and our energy consumption. To reduce our emissions, we focus heavily on reducing resource use during renovations and improving energy efficiency. An important part of our climate work is climate adaptation, where we take a proactive approach to strengthen the resilience of our properties to extreme weather events such as heavy rainfall and heatwaves.
Sustainability targets to reduce our climate impact
- Average energy use of max 70 kWh per sq m by 2030 latest
- GHG emissons from project development will be halved by latest 2030 from 2019
- Reduce the amount of construction and demolition waste per sq m
- Achieve at least 70 per cent sorting rate for waste from own ongoing operations and tenants
- All properties will have green building certification
- Increase the share of green financing
Additional initiatives to minimise our impact
In addition to reducing our energy and resource consumption, we are also working in several other areas to reduce our environmental impact – including biodiversity and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
