Hufvudstaden is in an intense phase of development involving major current and planned projects. This is in addition to the high demands for attentiveness and adaptability posed by the current pandemic. To meet these demands and further strengthen the leadership and the substantial business development initiatives, the following changes in group management will take effect as of October 1, 2020.
Bo Wikare has been appointed the new Head of the NK Business Area and President of AB Nordiska Kompaniet. He will continue as Vice President of Hufvudstaden and remain a member of group management. Mattias Nygårds will take over Mr. Wikare’s former role as Head of Business Development and join the group management team. The Board of Directors has furthermore appointed Anders Nygren, Head of the Stockholm Business Area, as Vice President of Hufvudstaden.
“The three executives now taking on new roles in group management all have long-standing experience from senior positions in the real estate and retail sectors. They have all been with Hufvudstaden for many years and in this era of change, I feel utterly confident at the prospect of working with a group management team of such experience and expertise. We are continuing to develop our businesses and have recently launched an e-commerce solution for NK and will be opening the first co-working facility under our own management in a couple of months. These are only two of the numerous projects currently in progress in Stockholm and Gothenburg”, says Ivo Stopner, President, Hufvudstaden.
Former President of AB Nordiska Kompaniet Henrik Andreasson will leave the company when Bo Wikare takes over.

Appendix
Brief bios of the three executives who have been appointed to new roles in Hufvudstaden’s group management.
Bo Wikare is Vice President of Hufvudstaden and was formerly Head of Business Development. He served as Acting President of Hufvudstaden from October 2019 to June 2020 while Ivo Stopner was away on sick leave and as Acting President of AB Nordiska Kompaniet from October 2017 to July 2018. Mr. Wikare has been with the company for 26 years.
Mattias Nygårds currently works with business development at Hufvudstaden and has served in various senior roles during his 13 years with the company, including Department Store Director of NK Stockholm, Head of the NK Business Area and President of AB Nordiska Kompaniet.
Anders Nygren has been with Hufvudstaden for 14 years and has held several senior positions within the group, including Head of Property Development. Mr. Nygren is currently Head of the Stockholm Business Area and has been a member of group management since 2006.
