Hufvudstaden's development of the area around Biblioteksgatan has taken place over a long period. In recent years, Bibliotekstan has reinforced its position as the fashion centre of Stockholm with the establishment of several prominent names in the international fashion world. The most recent establishments, Michael Kors and Armani, are a further step in the process of developing Bibliotekstan.

2013 has been a particularly eventful year with stores such as Stella McCartney, Sephora and Church’s opening in the spring. In the autumn, Prada, Armani and Michael Kors will also open stores in Bibliotekstan. In addition to attractive brands in the fashion sector, the old-established Wienercaféet will reopen after the summer.

"The aim at Hufvudstaden is to offer successful retailing and commercial tenants prime locations in central Stockholm and central Gothenburg. We are extremely proud that high-end brands such as Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Prada, Armani, Michael Kors and others have chosen to open stores in Hufvudstaden's properties in Bibliotekstan," says Ivo Stopner, President of Hufvudstaden.

These new developments will enable Hufvudstaden to further reinforce Bibliotekstan as one of the most attractive shopping areas in Scandinavia, where premium international brands and the best in Swedish fashion blend successfully with restaurants and cafeterias in a highly inspirational setting.
